Funny faces

Over the past few weeks Rory has been starting to really let her personality show. She is a silly goofy little girl. She seems to contort her face just to make me laugh and then laughs once I do... Very cute and very silly. She has the best little nose wrinkle to when she seems to be trying hard at something. Not to be outdone , Jolee likes to be silly and play back and forth with her sister. They are a riot to watch together. They wear me out sometimes but I have never had so much fun! Enjoy all the pics of our play times this past week.

Thank you Uncle Tyler!

Jolee has a wonderful Artist for an Uncle and he was nice enough to send Jolee some beautiful new glitter paints. She could not wait to open them up and start painting. She loves how much they sparkle and she worked so hard to perfect her masterpiece!
Thank you Sooooo Much Uncle Tyler!!! Love you:)

All Rory update

Alot has been going on with us in the past week or so.. mostly Rory that is. We are at the point where Rory is just changing by the day. She now has 4 teeth in ( 2 top and 2 bottom). She is crawling everywhere and starting to want to walk. She got a new walking toy this week and pushes it everywhere giggling the whole way.
She also got a Jumparoo that a friend was nice enough to loan to us and jumps up and down to Yo Gabba Gabba ( her favorite show!) .
We also inducted Rory into the girlie girl world by getting her ears pierced last night. She cried while getting them done , but right after was smiling and doesn't even notice them now. he looks so cute. In the first pic, you'll see that her ears look purple around the earring... that it not bruising, no worries. It is just the ink from where they marked it before piercing.
She is just growing too fast but is so much fun. Enjoy all the pics!

rainy day castle building

After a wonderful play date yesterday, we had a nice rainy day indoors. "With nothing to do and feeling quite blue" (hehe... to those who enjoy Duck Ellington) we decided to build some castles with the spare cardboard boxes we had laying around. Jolee was of course the princess and Rory turned out to the the monster attacking the castle.
We are up for a busy weekend , so look forward to tons of pics coming early next week!

4th of July

I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July! We had a wonderful day with a BBQ at home with the best of friends. We couldn't have asked for a better day. We have to stay close to home anytime there is fireworks since our dogs will destroy our house if not !
We started our day with a mini photo shoot since the girls looked so cute in their matching outfits! Then once our friends came over was time to play in the new kiddie pool. Jolee and James had so much fun splashing and playing. We got water guns as well for the "kids " to play with..... Joey and I only had one water fight :). After dinner is was time for some cake and fireworks. Jolee did really well this year and wasn't afraid of the small fireworks we had at all. She even did well when our neighbors started setting off the big ones. She looked up and said they were beautiful, then quickly asked to go inside!
Thanks again to all those military personnel and their families who keep us safe so that we could enjoy our day!

baking helper

Jolee is my great little kitchen helper. Almost every night she helps me with dinner and sometimes even setting the table. ( I wish that the helping stage would last forever!) . I am not really into baking that much though, but Jolee has started begging me to bake. Since I can't say no to her wanting to help, I look to ol' Betty Crocker for some sweets from the box. Jolee gets so excited at the site of the chocolate on the box. I think I have found out why Jolee wants to help bake so much though.....

caterpilars everywhere!

Jolee and I went to check on our butterfly garden this morning and what we found was very surprising. There are monarch caterpillars everywhere! below are a few pictures of Jolee and her discovery. She is so excited that our garden worked and that we will soon have lots more butterflies around. After coming inside we looked on the Internet to see how big monarch caterpillars get and they get up to 2 inches long. That's about the size of my finger! We have about 6 full size ones that should be getting into their cocoons any day, and probably about 30 more little ones. We tried counting, but there were just too many and some were really small!

so excited

They are going to be this big!

Just look!

I said look mommy!

How many can you find ?
There are at least 3 in this picture
