just another tuesday

HI Everyone,

Hope that you are all doing well. I am finally feeling a little better today. I am still congested but better than I was. I finally got out of the house today as well which was nice since it had been a few days. Jolee had a hair appointment this morning and she loved every second. She just loves getting pampered. She sat perfectly still up in that salon chair and just loves the attention. As soon as she was done with her hair she insisted that we go home and and paint her nails as well. What a little diva! Well she now has a little style of her own as she has layers in her hair and is getting too grown up too fast.

Rory unfortunately has caught my cold... I think... or maybe she is teething? Who knows. I got an awful fever, chills, aches, and congestion with my cold. She is just super congested and sleepy, but she is also super drooly and wanting to be held more than normal. All symptom could lead to confusion on either a cold or teeth. This age frustrates me as it is hard to tell what symptoms mean what.

Oh well... She doesn't have a fever so we will just let it all ride out.

sick day

Well, It is a rainy sunday here and Rory and I are just having a sleepy , lazy day together. I had hoped to be in Sarasota at a friend's baby shower, but I woke up with a killer cold at 2 o'clock this morning so Joe and Jolee went down to Sarasota and Rory and I stayed home. That way I get lots of nap time to try and recover. I hate being sick, but at least it's a grey and rainy day so it's a good one to be stuck inside.

Rory and I did have some playtime and at least she is in a good mood while I feel poopy. It makes it a little easier. Half way through playing we did a wardrobe change due to some spitup, and i couldn't resist a pic of that cute little belly. That wardrobe change must of tired her out too sine she passed out on her playmat 2 minutes later! Enjoy :)

mohawk gone!

Well it's been a busy week.

Rory's mohawk is officially gone now. The center part of her hair has gotten too long to stand up straight . It is perfect for bows though now. She actually keeps them in as opposed to Jolee. Even as an infant Jolee would rip them out.

I am starting to see the major differences in the girls already. Rory is so much more mellow and laid back than Jolee was. When Jolee was a baby I thought she was lais back! We shall see but they are definitely keeping my life interesting.

Wednesday was spent at the zoo and we got some cute pics, the rest are of the girls playing. This weekend will be busy as we have bbq's and parties to go to. Hope that you all have a good weekend too!

Diapers are done!

Well we are finally done with the diapers... at least for Jolee. She spent weeks fighting me on the issue and all the sudden while Joe was away on business she stopped fighting. We are accident free and doing great. I am so proud of my big girl and so relieved that it is done! She is still getting prizes but now it is only for a complete day of going on the potty. So that is nice. Plus I got a family potty seat so she sits on the big potty all by herself , flushes and washes hands all by herself. I think she enjoys the freedom even more than I do.

Rory is doing well also. She has a little cold right now so she is not sleeping great, but that's o.k. She is growing so fast and it is hard to believe that she will be as big as Jolee some day. Not too soon though. She is rolling all over the place these days and has already started trying to prop up onto her knees. She is smiling and really reacting to her sister which is so cute.

I am really enjoying watching my 2 little monkeys play together and grow. Enjoy a few pictures

birthday weekend

It has taken me a little while to get to post all of this but here it is!

So it was a whirwind weekend but a great one!

Jolee's birthday celebration started with A party at our house thursday night with her 2 best friends,( and ours!) . James and Vincent were good friends and even played dress up with Jolee because it was her birthday. Don't worry I won't post those pictures on my blog! :)

Friday morning we got packed up and ready to go to disney. We checked in and went straight to the Bibidi Bobidi Boutique for Jolee's official princess make over. She had so much fun and loved everyone calling her princess. The next day we took off for the magic kingdom. Bob, Nicole and Vincent came along for the day and made Jolee's birthday even more fun. Vin even escorted Jolee to meet the princesses, which was so cute.

We came home tired sunday afternoon , but it was a really great trip. enjoy the pictures!

Hi Everyone,
I decided to start a blog to keep you up to date with the kids instead of just email updates. I thought it would be easier and a little more fun.
This past weekend was Jolee's birthday celebration at disney where we had an absolute blast. Jolee was truly a princess all weekend long! I will share more later tonight after the girls are asleep and get a chance to upload all the pictures!
